Bei dem Treffen ist Yamato sehr begeistert von dem Rennen. Miyamoto und der Kapitän sind jedoch besorgt darüber, wie er abschneiden wird - Miyamoto stellt fest, dass Yamato seinen Rekord vom früheren Streckentreffen nicht übertroffen hat. Während des Rennens hat Yamato einen guten Start, aber Arima überholt ihn schnell. Arima gewinnt am Ende und Yamato belegt einen enttäuschenden vierten Platz. Später besucht Suzuka Yamato und bringt ihm ein paar Eier zum Essen. Yamato erkennt, dass Suzuka wahrscheinlich versucht, ihn aufzuheitern. Gerade als sie gehen will, gesteht Yamato ihr erneut. Er sagt, dass sie ihm noch nicht antworten muss, dass er mehr üben wird, damit er das nächste Turnier gewinnen kann. Erinnert an das, was Kazuki ihr damals gesagt hat, rennt Suzuka auf ihn los und sagt ihm, er solle aufhören.
