Adira versucht mit der Hilfe von Michael und der Discovery-Crew Zugriff auf die verborgenen Erinnerungen ihres Symbionten Tal zu erlangen. In seinem Wissen könnte der aktuelle Standort der Förderation und der Sternenflotte verborgen sein. So steuert die Discovery Trill an, in der Hoffnung, dass man Adira dort helfe kann. Allerdings begegnet man ihr dort eher kritisch, da der Symbiont in einen Menschen transplantiert wurde. Dennoch kann Adira mit Michael die heiligen Höhlen von Mak’ala aufsuchen, wo sich beide einem kräftezehrenden Ritual unterziehen müssen.
