Die US-amerikanische Jugendserie dreht sich um die drei eng befreundete Eliteturnerinnen Kaylie Cruz (Josie Loren), Lauren Tanner (Cassie Scerbo) und Payson Keeler (Ayla Kell), deren größter Traum es ist, an den Olympischen Spielen 2012 in London teilzunehmen. Unter Anleitung ihres Trainers Marty Walsh (Erik Palladino) geben die drei Teamkolleginnen ihr Bestes, um ihr Ziel zu erreichen – auch wenn sie sich dafür strengen Regeln unterwerfen und ihr soziales Leben komplett unterordnen müssen. Nebenjobs und Jungs sind tabu, andere Freizeitaktivitäten kaum möglich. Anfangs scheint alles gut zu laufen, doch als die talentierte Turnerin Emily (Chelsea Hobbs) mit Hilfe eines Stipendiums ins Team stößt und Trainer Walsh aufgrund einer Erpressung gehen muss und durch einen knallharten und unbarmherzigen Ex-Olympiasieger ersetzt wird, beginnt für die drei Freundinnen eine schwere Zeit.
