Moritz kommt auf seiner Laufrunde zwei Villeneinbrechern in die Quere. Er kann zwar geistesgegenwärtig noch Fotos an seine Freunde schicken, doch dann wird er geschnappt und offensichtlich entführt. Leo ist verzweifelt: Von ihrem Freund fehlt jede Spur. Amy sendet deshalb kurzentschlossen einen Hilferuf an alle ehemaligen Pfefferkörner. Die Geschwister Levin und Nele sind zufällig in Hamburg und am schnellsten vor Ort. Gemeinsam klicken sie sich durch die Fotos vom Tatort, als Levin den Koffer seiner Freundin Kira entdeckt. War auch sie zufällig vor Ort und wurde gleich mit entführt? Alte und neue Mitglieder der Pfefferkörner-Gruppe nehmen die Spur der Vermissten auf, die vom Villenviertel bis zu einem entlegenen Flugplatz führt.

Außer Nesthäkchen Vivi wachsen alle allmählich aus der Kinderserie hinaus, und so gesellen sich ab Folge 32 nach und nach die neuen Pfefferkörner zu Vivi: Paul (Lukas Decker), Katja (Jana Fomenko), Johanna, genannt Jojo (Carlotta Cornehl), und Xiaomeng, Spitzname Panda (Tim Patrick Chan).
