Im Mobilfunkgeschäft gelingt es Jimmy, einem Kunden einige Wegwerfhandys zu verkaufen. In der Nacht probiert er auf eigene Faust, weitere Geschäfte zu machen, bis er von drei Jugendlichen zusammengeschlagen und ausgeraubt wird. In der Zwischenzeit führt Mike Gus’ Auftrag aus: Er befördert Architekten zu einem Gebäude, um Angebote für einen Umbau zu einem Meth-Labor einzuholen. Ein deutscher Architekt beeindruckt Gus besonders und wird von ihm angeheuert. Kim übernimmt als Pflichtverteidigerin Pro Bono-Fälle, bemerkt aber, dass sie dadurch ihren Kunden vernachlässigt.

Die Serie spielt zu Beginn im Jahre 2002.
